The only blog about animals (taxidermied), ice cream, illustrations, creepiness, Oprah Winfrey, and Mary-Kate Olsen. I have a pretty broad spectrum of interests, but there are very specific themes that string together what appeals to me, creatively. Real things that look fake. Fake things that look real. Real fake things. Fake real things. Whimsy.
Ewelina Koszykowsi uses subjects that I have a personal liking to - doll parts, toys, oompa loompas - and mishmashes them in a way that is sweet, nostalgic, and a little disturbing.
Her artwork rides above the societal dictates of homogeneity and dares to breathe life into the canvas, she is proving both mystics and quantum physics right; that the human being holds within a map to the entire universe; she plays with the possibility that we are all divine. Within the personal journey of her paintings she explores irreverent erotic awakening and the struggle to root down, rise up and blossom in order to birth the fruit of wisdom.
Dismembered Barbie parts jewelry by Margaux Lange. Creepy morbid cute nostalgic pop-culture accessories- all things I’m into, yet I wouldn’t wear any of this.
Miss Barbie Venezuela 2010 Pageant.
I know I’m kinda “unusual” but I haven’t reached this level yet. One day I might.
