The only blog about animals (taxidermied), ice cream, illustrations, creepiness, Oprah Winfrey, and Mary-Kate Olsen. I have a pretty broad spectrum of interests, but there are very specific themes that string together what appeals to me, creatively. Real things that look fake. Fake things that look real. Real fake things. Fake real things. Whimsy.
Super bizarre pizza themed illustrations by Japanese artist Kimiaki Yaegashi. So weird, I love it.

Adrian Valencia’s illustrations of Lady Gaga in all her different looks. Lots of other great work on the artist’s site.

#10 in my series. Anyone who’s talked to me in the past two weeks knows that I have become completely unhealthily obsessed with K-pop group BIGBANG. I went from totally indifferent to president of their VIP club overnight. I want to be them (well, T.O.P) - and already know which member I want to replace in the group, should they ask. Eventually I will create an illustration of all five of them, but their clothes are so damn detailed that I am starting out with T.O.P and G-Dragon - who in my opinion are the essence of BIGBANG. This is their look from the “Bad Boy” video.
I’ve added them to my Society6 page, and I might have to buy this T.O.P phone case once I get an iPhone (it’s not that lame to buy something of your own right??).

#8 in my series. Vogue - Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, and Andre Leon Talley in his signature…robe cape thing. I know I said I would release one of these every Friday, but I’ve been away for a couple weeks! Also, I added some extra shading and details on this one to make up for it.
I will add these to Society6 this weekend as well.
Selena & Selena Killer - Ricky Kwong
#6 in my series. A Valentine’s special…I do not understand why I have a strange affinity for Selena and Selena Killer…this minor obsession has sustained itself for well over five years, I don’t think it’s just a phase.
Anyway, Selena Killer has never looked so cute. Bitch.
Summer Heights High - Ricky Kwong.
It’s Friday, so time for a new release in my series. Here is #5, Summer Heights High. Maybe a bit more obscure than my previous sets, but those who know of it seem to be die hard cult followers. It was fun to do this group; because just like the show, all three characters actually have the exact same face.
The Argentinean, multi-talented Juan Gatti is generally known as a commercial photographer and graphic designer, often collaborating with film director Pedro Almodovar. His lesser known work includes anatomy drawings of human body in combination with the taxonomy of plants and of exotic animals.

The work of Fab Ciraolo makes it immediately clear that the Chilean-born illustrator has a very interesting outlook on this world. His pieces combine re-imagined elements of nostalgic popular culture with fantastical sci-fi standards and beautiful space-like atmospheres. Incorporating classic cartoon characters, fairy tale favorites and edgy popular icons, Ciraolo constructs compelling and enchanting artwork that stirs up whimsical feelings for the past while keeping one foot forward.
