The only blog about animals (taxidermied), ice cream, illustrations, creepiness, Oprah Winfrey, and Mary-Kate Olsen. I have a pretty broad spectrum of interests, but there are very specific themes that string together what appeals to me, creatively. Real things that look fake. Fake things that look real. Real fake things. Fake real things. Whimsy.
Selena & Selena Killer - Ricky Kwong
#6 in my series. A Valentine’s special…I do not understand why I have a strange affinity for Selena and Selena Killer…this minor obsession has sustained itself for well over five years, I don’t think it’s just a phase.
Anyway, Selena Killer has never looked so cute. Bitch.
I have started a store on Society6 - my baby doll series (and other past and upcoming art) can be purchased as prints, stretched canvases, laptop skins, and iPhone covers. Check it out and pass along!
My store.
Summer Heights High - Ricky Kwong.
It’s Friday, so time for a new release in my series. Here is #5, Summer Heights High. Maybe a bit more obscure than my previous sets, but those who know of it seem to be die hard cult followers. It was fun to do this group; because just like the show, all three characters actually have the exact same face.
A new series I’m working on inspired a bit by Kewpie + Blythe + personal nostalgia. My first set is “Saved by the Bell,” and it can also be found on eatsleepdraw!
More to come, and accepting suggestions for future sets
As 2011 comes to a close, here is a compilation of images my hair has looked like in the past year. AKA “black lady” post. It’s been a good year.
I visited Hawaii for the first time last week, and saw more rainbows in one day than in my entire life combined. Clearly I was very excited about this and took a lot of photos.
I visited Seattle for the first time last week to spend time with my friend Amy, and also met up with some of my former co-workers. This is the first official “outing” with my new Canon Rebel T2i, and here are some of the pictures I took. I didn’t take too many because I was still trying to get used to walking around with a giant camera around my neck without looking too much like an Asian tourist. I need to get over that.
Not sure what my niche is - don’t really see a coherent point of view in these pictures. “Tourist,” maybe. Some post-production work was done on some of these images.

Testing out my new DSLR camera by shooting some of the weird stuff I own. Yes I own a lot of weird stuff.
